I grew up in a remote African village, surrounded by small-scale coffee farmers who cultivated some of Africa’s finest beans, yet earned little for their hard work. My passion for coffee was born in those fields. After immigrating to America as a Registered Nurse, I knew I had to give back to my community.
That’s why I founded Safari Crown Coffee. With savings from long hours at the hospital, I started this company to support the farmers I grew up with. We’ve provided coffee pulping machines, irrigation trucks, and drilled boreholes to help them thrive, even during severe droughts. Yet, these farmers still face exploitation, receiving far less than fair trade prices for their premium coffee.
